Practice No.2

So, when I tried to apply the petals on the model's face I have noticed some details that I had to work on. First of all I had to repaint the petals and to make them shorter or curve them somehow, because some of them seemed to be either too long or not curvy enough to stay in a nice way. I decided to make new ones and worked on them properly. I painted again another flower petals, but this time with a slightly darker shade, because the shade of red I used the first time was too light in my point of view. In addition if thinking logically of extracting the juice or the colour from a plant, the colour of it is not the same as the actaul plant. I also cut them shorter hoping that this would help me to make them stay in a nicer way. I tried to curl them as well, but that material is not staying curly, so I tried to apply the petals again on the model to see if this time it is going to be more successful:
I took the picture from a side because that is the angle I want to take the picture from. This time I am very glad with the way it looks. The flower looks more rich in colour and it stayed better as well. I applied a bigger amount of acrylic colour when painted the petals, which in my point of view made them stronger/harder. The only difficulty found was sticking them. I used Duo Eyelash glue for that as I didn't want to use another product that would be harder to take off or something that could even provoke skin irritation. In addition I have practiced it on myself and on the model too to stick the petals with Duo glue and it worked perfectly. While this time, for some reason I found it much harder to make them stay. To solve this problem I just sent more time on holding the petals on the place, until I made sure that the glue was completely dry. I didn't apply the false feather eyelashes this time as I didn't have a spare pair of them to use for the actual shoot.
A small detail I forgot to mention is that I applied the Kryolan Supracolor on the eyelid till the eyebrow and underneath too. I wanted it to look perfect, with no gaps or patches. On the top of the Supracolor I applied ItStyle Red Peal eyeshadow. It has a little bit of golden reflects in it and I thought that it will give light and in my point of view it also gave more the impression of a real flower.
