Gareth Pugh Spring/Summer 2016 collection

For this brief, as mentioned earlier we were asked to create a two catwalk looks. As Ellis Faas is a brand that do not create clothes, but only makeup I had to choose a designer that in my point of view would be suitable with the brand, and my final choice is Gareth Pugh.
First of all I looked at the Spring/Summer 2016 collection of Gareth pugh and it impressed me. I am a big fan of avant-garde style, and I am fascinated by Gareth Pugh's collections in general. I feel that his concepts and creations are mirroring my own style. So let's have a look at some looks from this recent collection:

In my point of view, this collection is incredible! These young ladies were captivating yet twisted, statuesque yet abnormal – you couldn't exactly see their appearances, since they were whoever you needed them to be. It's this feeling of duality that Pugh was interested by, and directed into a film with longterm associates Ruth Hogben and Katie Shillingford, which appeared yesterday on AnOther Magazine. It stars a city broker by day, post artist by night – whose stories of "getting back home at a young hour in the morning and wiping off make-up and putting on a suit and going to work" exemplified the soul of London's underworld for Pugh. In the short, she twists and whirls against throbbing lights, sleep inducing yet strange, shrouded in shadows and wearing looks of latex and bent highly contrasting watches that review Pugh's most punctual appears, propelled by London clubnights like BoomBox. In any case, the self-referential components that sprung up all through the gathering were not about sentimentality: they are just things Pugh has in his arms stockpile. "I don't feel like I'm going in reverse," he clarified. "For me this felt more idealistic, seeking after something else later on. it's simply something that is a piece of my history as is Soho."
