Catwalk Look (facechart)

   The makeup design I have created represents, in my point of you the style of both the brand- Ellis Faas and the designer's- Gareth pugh. Ellis Faas' look are very dramatic and unique. So are the outfits and style of the famous designer Gareth Pugh. I think that for this part of the project I have to incorporate the both styles in one look, and this is what I came out with.
 I want to create matte skin, because in Gareth Pugh's catwalk show the models were wearing tights on their faces giving the impression of very nice, smooth and MATTE skin. The design includes the contouring of the face just to put in evidence the structure of the model's face. It will also give the design that strong look that Gareth Pugh is transmitting through his collection. He is using bold colours like blacks, deep reds, dark golds and strong black and white patterns, and in my point of view contouring the face will put in evidence that attitude and strength that Gareth is showing through his collection. I will highlight the prominent parts of the face, such as cheekbones, lip-bow and forehead. This will make the contouring look even and bolder.

   The eyes are dark, reflecting in some way the gothic style. The black, kind of smudged eyeliner is showing the Spring/Summer 2016 trend.With this I mean the trend of the eyeliner, but I want to transform it into a more dramatic style. This is why I went for a more smudged kind of look, with lots of "fleeks" if I can say so, that is what all those lines around the eye would represent. The dark eyes and matte skin are inspired not only from the makeup created on the runway, but also from the amazing look that I have seen in Ellis Faas Film-"Identity Revealed" where the model had her face covered with tights and the eyes were painted with black smudged paint. The fake Blue eyelashes are also part of the seasonal trend. Blue is the colour of the this season and it was represented in some of the Gareth Pugh's looks on the runway, interpreted as blue eyeshadow or very thick eyeliner.  In addition long and bold eyelashes are also considered a trend for the Spring/Summer 2016.
   The lips were created using the colours that were the signature of Gareth Pugh's collection- Red and White. These colours were very often seen on the runway during his catwalk show. In addition Ellis Faas is famous for its Ellis Red's which is a very strong category in her makeup line. As well as the model's on the runway had red lips, I wanted to introduce a slight difference, transforming it into a more personal design but still keeping the inspiration from the collection I have added the white colour into my design.
