Hair Idea No.2- Final

After the unsuccessful attempt of my first hair design, I have started to think of something different. I still sticked with the idea of using twists in the hair that give the idea of small braids, but obviously there was something more missing.  I had to change completely the look as I wasn't happy with the final result I had after my first attempt.  So, at that point I though of a Dutch braid, as these are the type of braid that gives a lift to the hair. I thought that if I did it on back-combed hair, it could look messier and it would give the hair the volume I was looking for.
I have started with the twists on both sides of the head. This time I did more twists (5 twists each side). This way from the forehead to the back of the head, all the central part was the hair that I had to create the volume with. So, I back combed all the hair remaining in the middle. The back combing was very gentle though because I didn't want it to look too messy and then it would also make it harder to work with. After that, I made a Dutch braid all the way down till the ends. I twisted the "tail" under the braid and pinned it, at the bottom of the head, as I didn't like the way the tail was hanging out. Then I have loosen the braid, to achieve the volume and that exact "Worn" look I wanted:

I was very pleased with the result and I thought that it had exactly everything I wanted to include in my design. I completed the look by including in it small accessories. I used some white pearls and I pinned the at the end of every twist on each side. In this way I wanted to hide the small hairbands that were holding the twists. To give it more that kind of"worn" look I have pulled out some hair and left it hanging out, which in the end I wanted to avoid in the actual design. I have created the hair chart even though I am not good at drawing. I did the hair chart after practising the design only because I find it much easier to practice the look and visually understand if it works or not.
